UnitSnap for iPhone and iPad · Jaceal LLC · Last updated 15 September 2026

UnitSnap does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal information. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no account. This page explains what that means precisely, rather than in the usual language.

What we collect

Nothing. Jaceal LLC receives no data from UnitSnap of any kind. We cannot see what you convert, how often you open the app, what device you use, or whether you use it at all.

What stays on your device

UnitSnap saves a small amount of information locally, using Apple's standard on-device settings storage, so the app behaves sensibly the next time you open it:

All of it lives in the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded. Deleting UnitSnap deletes it.

The one network request the app makes

To convert currency, UnitSnap fetches published foreign-exchange reference rates from one of two public endpoints:

The request is a plain HTTPS GET for a public rate table. It carries no account, no identifier, no device information, no location and no request body — nothing that describes you or what you were converting. It is made over an ephemeral session that keeps no cookies. As with any internet request, the provider will see the IP address it came from; neither provider receives anything else, and Jaceal LLC receives nothing at all.

If you never use a currency conversion, and the app has no signal, UnitSnap makes no network requests whatsoever. Every other conversion in the app — units, lab values, BSA, ideal body weight, BMI — is computed entirely on your device.

What UnitSnap does not contain

No analytics or telemetry SDK. No advertising SDK or ad identifier (IDFA). No crash-reporting service. No social login. No third-party software development kits of any kind. No App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.

Health and clinical information

UnitSnap includes laboratory-value conversions, body surface area, ideal body weight and BMI. Any height, weight, age, sex or laboratory value you enter is used only to compute the number shown on screen, and is not stored, not written to Apple Health, and not transmitted anywhere. It exists only while that screen is open.

UnitSnap converts units and derives values from the numbers you enter. It does not recommend a dose and is not a medical device. Verify against your institution's protocol and, per your facility's policy, a second clinician.

Children

UnitSnap is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. Jaceal LLC holds no personal data from UnitSnap, so there is nothing to access, export or delete. You may still contact us with any question and we will answer it.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of UnitSnap ever changes what it does with data, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We do not intend to make such a change.
